STEM, WHAT IS IT (SCIENCE,TECHNOLOGY,ENGINEERING AND MATHAMATICS)

STEM, WHAT IS IT (SCIENCE,TECHNOLOGY,ENGINEERING AND MATHAMATICS)

You have probably heard this word bandied about. It is not unusual since we live in perhaps the most technologically advance country in the world. Every citizen in the 21st century should know something about STEM. Even if they never have a job directly in one of the STEM fields they will be effected by STEM never the less.

This is where your young person comes in. Every young person has the capacity to grasp something about these areas. A quality education will at least introduce a young person to these areas to see if they have an interest in pursuing them. This is what education means. Every young person will be effected by STEM whether they want to or not. Everyone has seen the rapid change in technology, And it is happening at faster and faster rates. Consider that a 5th grader to day will graduate from high school in 2031 and from college in 2035. A child born today will graduate from college in 2045, Do you think knowing something about science, technology, engineering, or mathematics will help that person understand the world around them at that time? The learners inherit the world. The learned are beautifully prepared for a world that no longer exists.
